This book is adapted from an investigation presented to the National University of Huancavelica that sought to determine the degree of influence that the use of an electrocoagulation chamber on a laboratory scale has on the treatment of wastewater from the municipal slaughterhouse in the district of Huancavelica in Peru. The research was of the applied type, explanatory level, the research method was scientific, pretest and posttest design with a single group, the technique was experimental observation and the instrument used was the data record sheet, the population was made up of the wastewater from the municipal camal of Huancavelica, the sample was made up of 2 liters of residual water from the same camal, where the sampling was non-probabilistic (non-random) sampling of an intentional type, according to the results, the retention time and the density of The current in the electrocoagulation chamber significantly influence the physicochemical characteristics of the residual water, where by increasing the current density and the time in the electrocoagulation process, the percentage of contaminant removal increases by more than 92.5% with respect to the BOD5 parameter.
