الوصف: Objective. To examine and compare the levels of free amino acids in the plasma of pregnant women with congenital malformations and chromosomal abnormalities of the fetus and women with a physiological course of pregnancy at 13-22 weeks of gestation in order to analyze the features of the metabolic processes in the woman's body and changes in the concentrations of individual free amino acids. Material and methods. A total of 104 women with prenatally diagnosed congenital malformations and chromosomal abnormalities of the fetus, which are the indications for artificial termination of pregnancy in the late stages (group I), and 25 women with physiological course of pregnancy (group II) were examined. The levels of free amino acids and their nitrogen-containing derivatives in plasma were determined by high performance liquid chromatography method. Results.
