الوصف: | This paper applies a sound studies approach to a literary studies use case: Using a mixed-methods approach, we investigate whether there is a correlation between the description of sounds and suspenseful text passages in a 19th-century English novel corpus. Our hypothesis is that suspenseful passages contain more detailed descriptions of the story's soundscape than unsuspenseful passages. |
