In recent years, most research focused on the mechanism of cognitive impairment caused by CMBs. This article reviewed the concept and epidemiology of CMBs, the relationship of CMBs and cognitive dysfunction, and the mechanism of cognitive dysfunction caused by CMBs, with the aim to provide reference in treating and delaying cognitive decline of high-risk patients.
