مستخلص: The article presents a study which investigates the brain metabolic and microstructural variation between appropriate-for-gestational (AGA) fetuses and small-for-gestational age (SGA) at 37 weeks' gestation. The study uses magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) spectroscopy and diffusion weighted imaging to match five AGA singleton fetuses and eight SGA. Results show that SGA fetuses show an increase in inositol/choline ratio and higher ADC values in the pyramidal tract.
