الوصف: Background: Iodine is a trace element that is essential for the formation of thyroid hormones. It is essential for the human life’s growth and development. The thyroid gland size and functions affected by deficient or excessive intake of iodine. Iodine excess intake was found to associating with iodine-induced hyperthyroidism (IIH) and autoimmune thyroiditis. Aims and Objectives: The present study was to find the hyperthyroid goiter patient nutritional status by urinary iodine excretion (UIE) measurement and correlate them with thyroid hormone and thyroid autoantibodies. Materials and Methods: In this study, 100 adult hyperthyroid goiter ssubjects and 100 apparently normal adult subjects were conveniently recruited in this study.Urinary iodine estimation and serum TSH, fT4, fT3, AMA, and ATG were estimated, which were estimated for case and control groups. Results: The hyperthyroid goiter patient mean UIE concentration was 278.98 μg/L and 68% of excess UIE which was found. There was significant difference in the UIE between the hyperthyroid goiter patient and control (P

الوصف: Background: Alcoholic liver disease/non-alcoholic liver disease Index – ANI scoring system was constructed for clinically diagnosing the etiology of liver diseases, avoiding the risks of liver biopsy. Aims and Objectives: This study aims to test the reliability of ANI scoring system as a non-invasive method to distinguish alcoholic liver disease (ALD) from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Materials and Methods: This retrospective study was conducted on 177 (114 men and 58 women) treated as inpatients in Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Trichy, in the period of December 1, 2015–August 1, 2016. About 40 patients with etiology of viral, autoimmune, and biliary lithiasis were excluded. A total of 137 patients (98 men and 39 women) were classified into two groups, ALD (70) and NAFLD (67) based on diagnosis. Parameters of ANI – AST, ALT, MCV, BMI, and sex were recorded. ANI was calculated by online calculator. Results: ANI was significantly higher in patients with ALD than NAFLD (P

مستخلص: In this study, using the first-principles calculation we presented a new field of materials concerning the transparent conducting halide perovskites CsGeX3 (X = Cl, I, Br) in the phases: ideal cubic, S-cubic, D-cubic, and tetragonal. The study aimed to explore and investigate the most mechanical stable state by calculating the elastic constant C ij . Our findings indicated that the preferential ground state mechanical stability is the non-magnetic state. On analysis of optical properties, we found high optical transmission practically ~ 80%. Electrical conductivity is also high, and the figure of merit is close to ~ 1. Based on the results obtained from theoretical DFT calculation, it is proposed that these materials may be an appropriate candidate for photovoltaic and other optoelectronic device applications. As they have high coefficients, low reflection, and strong optical conductivity at the UV–Vis range which are crucial for designing a transparent conducting material for possible technological applications. الوصف: While pre-trained language models achieve impressive performance on various NLP benchmarks, they still struggle with tasks that require numerical reasoning. Recent advances in improving numerical reasoning are mostly achieved using very large language models that contain billions of parameters and are not accessible to everyone. In addition, numerical reasoning is measured using a single score on existing datasets. As a result, we do not have a clear understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of existing models on different numerical reasoning aspects and therefore, potential ways to improve them apart from scaling them up. Inspired by CheckList (Ribeiro et al., 2020), we introduce a multi-view evaluation set for numerical reasoning in English, called FERMAT. Instead of reporting a single score on a whole dataset, FERMAT evaluates models on various key numerical reasoning aspects such as number understanding, mathematical operations, and training dependency. Apart from providing a comprehensive evaluation of models on different numerical reasoning aspects, FERMAT enables a systematic and automated generation of an arbitrarily large training or evaluation set for each aspect. The datasets and codes are publicly available to generate further multi-view data for ulterior tasks and languages.

الوصف: Context: Safe and efficient removal of all root filling materials from the root canal system without compromising radicular dentin structure is essential for optimal nonsurgical retreatment. Aims: The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the incidence of dentinal defects caused during root canal filling removal using conventional, rotary, and reciprocating retreatment file systems. Settings and Design: A detailed protocol explaining purpose and procedures of the study was submitted to the Institutional Ethics Committee and ethical clearance obtained. Subjects and Methods: Sixty human maxillary permanent central incisors were collected and decoronated to 12-mm standardized length. The canals prepared up to a master apical file size F3 with Protaper hand files, obturated using AH plus sealer, examined under the stereomicroscope (×40 magnification): Group I: Control ( n = 15), Group II: Conventional ( n = 15), Group III: Protaper Universal Retreatment Files ( n = 15), and Group IV: Reciproc Blue ( n = 15). After instrumentation, teeth were sectioned at 3, 6, and 9 mm from the apex to evaluate the presence of dentinal defects under the stereomicroscope. Statistical Analysis Used: Statistics were performed using the SPSS, version, 25 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA). Initially, normality test was done using the Shapiro–Wilk test and data were not normally distributed followed by Kruskal–Wallis test. P < 0.05 is considered statistically significant. Results: Maximum percentage increase in dentinal defects was observed in Protaper Universal Retreatment Files followed by Conventional method and Reciproc Blue. Conclusions: Significantly Reciproc Blue reduced the incidence of dentinal defects after root canal preparation.
