مستخلص: This paper is a bibliometric overview and evaluation of peer-reviewed articles on governance in higher education. The study uses meta-data from the Scopus journal repository, retrieved using relevant keywords. We analyse the data in VOSviewer software. A content analysis of selected papers is undertaken to comprehend the thematic focus of the knowledge domain. Results show that the field of this research topic has grown exponentially both qualitatively and quantitatively. The conceptual dynamics of the literature unfold the multidimensionality of the topic of this inquiry. Our significant contributions are the scholarly audit of higher education governance research and the identification of several structured research questions for future investigations. This is a maiden attempt to employ bibliometric and content analysis for science mapping and qualitative review in the topic of inquiry.

الوصف: Atomic defect centers in diamond have been widely exploited in numerous quantum applications like quantum information, sensing, quantum photonics and so on. In this context, there is always a requirement to improve and optimize the preparation procedure to generate the defect centers in controlled fashion, and to explore new defect centers which can have the potential to overcome the current technological challenges. Through this letter we report enhancing the concentration of Ge and Xe vacancy centers in nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) by means of He+ irradiation. We have demonstrated controlled growth of NCD by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and implantation of Ge and Xe ions into the CVD-grown samples. NCDs were irradiated with He+ ions and characterized through optical spectroscopy measurements. Recorded photoluminescence results revealed a clear signature of enhancement of the Xe-related and Ge vacancies in NCDs.

الوصف: Inclusivity is fundamental to progress in understanding and addressing the global phenomena of biological invasions because inclusivity fosters a breadth of perspectives, knowledge, and solutions. Here, we report on how the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) assessment on invasive alien species (IAS) prioritized inclusivity, the benefits of this approach, and the remaining challenges.

الوصف: While social entrepreneurship scholars in the past have focused much on the building blocks of robust social entrepreneurship business models and sustainability factors including supportive ecosystem elements, it is not clear ‘what’ categories of the interactive ecosystem in which social entrepreneurs are located influence the choice of business models even before they operationalize their social ventures. Accordingly, this study espouses a mixed-method research design to address this issue. The authors collected data from 24 and 112 social entrepreneurs in two study phases, respectively. Four support factors—business, market, financial and policy were considered important by social entrepreneurs in India that they believe influenced their choice of business models. While policy and financial support factors were considered most important by social entrepreneurs with a pure social mission/impact orientation, market and business support were considered significant influential factors by social entrepreneurs with a profit orientation. Social entrepreneurs who sought a balance between social and economic missions, however, considered the presence of financial and market support to be crucial for choosing a relevant business model. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study that investigates the inherent priori influence of prevalent ecosystem factors on social business model selection. It uniquely brings out an empirical association between ecosystem factors and business model preferences, affirming that factors pivotal to choice also underpin sustainability. Moreover, this study also unveils an interactive framework encompassing entrepreneur traits and their orientations, ecosystem factors, feedback and performance. Offering multiple actionable implications, this study offers key insights for policy decision-makers and practitioners.
