    الوصف: The analysis of nonconvex matrix completion has recently attracted much attention in the community of machine learning thanks to its computational convenience. Existing analysis on this problem, however, usually relies on $\ell_{2,\infty}$ projection or regularization that involves unknown model parameters, although they are observed to be unnecessary in numerical simulations, see, e.g., Zheng and Lafferty [2016]. In this paper, we extend the analysis of the vanilla gradient descent for positive semidefinite matrix completion proposed in Ma et al. [2017] to the rectangular case, and more significantly, improve the required sampling rate from $O(\operatorname{poly}(\kappa)\mu^3 r^3 \log^3 n/n )$ to $O(\mu^2 r^2 \kappa^{14} \log n/n )$. Our technical ideas and contributions are potentially useful in improving the leave-one-out analysis in other related problems.

    الوصف: Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is one of the most common types of cancer in the urogenital system. For localized renal cell carcinoma, nephron-sparing surgery (NSS) is becoming the optimal choice because of its advantage in preserving renal function. Traditionally, partial nephrectomy is performed with renal pedicle clamping to decrease blood loss. Furthermore, both renal pedicle clamping and the subsequent warm renal ischemia time affect renal function and increase the risk of postoperative renal failure. More recently, there has also been increasing interest in creating surgical methods to meet the requirements of nephron preservation and shorten the renal warm ischemia time including assisted or unassisted zero-ischemia surgery. As artificial intelligence increasingly integrates with surgery, the three-dimensional visualization technology of renal vasculature is applied in the NSS to guide surgeons. In addition, the renal carcinoma complexity scoring system is also constantly updated to guide clinicians in the selection of appropriate treatments for patients individually. In this article, we provide an overview of recent advances and new perspectives in NSS.

    مستخلص: Selective catalytic reduction by methanol (Methanol-SCR) on FER zeolite is a promising technology for the deNOx treatment of flue gas with a high concentration of sulfur. However, the resistance to alkali metal and sulfate ions is crucial for the practical application of Methanol-SCR catalysts. In this study, we investigated the poisoning mechanism of H-FER zeolite by K+ and sulfate ions. It was observed that K+ ions induce deactivation at high temperatures, whereas the decline at low temperatures (< 320 °C) can be attributed mainly to sulfate ions. Furthermore, surface modification of H-FER zeolite with metal oxide nanoparticles, such as alumina, has proved to be an effective method for improving its potassium sulfate resistance performance by preventing the diffusion of sulfate into zeolite pores.     الوصف: Transfer RNA‐derived fragments are a group of small noncoding single‐stranded RNA that play essential roles in multiple diseases. However, their biological functions in carcinogenesis are not well understood. In this study, 5′tRF‐Gly was found to have significantly high expression in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and the upregulation of 5′tRF‐Gly was positively correlated with tumor size and tumor metastasis. Overexpression of 5′tRF‐Gly induced increased growth rate and metastasis in HCC cells in vitro and in nude mice, while knockdown showed the opposite effect. Carcinoembryonic antigen‐related cell adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM1) was confirmed to be a direct target of 5′tRF‐Gly in HCC. In addition, the cytological effect of CEACAM1 knockdown proved to be similar to the overexpression of 5′tRF‐Gly. Moreover, attenuation of CEACAM1 expression rescued the 5′tRF‐Gly‐mediated promoting effects on HCC cells. These data show that 5′tRF‐Gly is a new tumor‐promoting factor and could be a potential diagnostic biomarker or new therapeutic target for HCC.
