    الوصف: A novel vardenafil analogue was identified in dietary supplement as an adulterant in herbal formulations. The structure of this analogue was elucidated using HRMS, NMR after extraction from the pulverized powder. It was named morphardenafil as a morpholine ring has replaced the N-ethyl piperazine ring in vardenafil. A tablet of this dietary supplement contained about 50 mg of unspecified morphardenafil, which is 2.5 – 20-times the prescriptive dosage of Levetra, the commercial formulation of the vardenafil monohydrochloride salt in the market and probably places unwary consumers at risk for potentially serious adverse effects or drug-drug interaction (DDI).

    الوصف: Background. Community-acquired respiratory viruses (CARVs) are an important cause of morbidity and mortality in lung transplant (LTx) recipients. Despite routine mask-wearing, LTx patients remain at a higher risk of CARV infection than the general population. In 2019, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the causative agent of COVID-19 and a novel CARV, emerged leading federal and state officials to implement public health nonpharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) to curb its spread. We hypothesized that NPI would be associated with the reduced spread of traditional CARVs. Methods. A single-center, retrospective cohort analysis comparing CARV infection before a statewide stay-at-home order, during the stay-at-home order and subsequent statewide mask mandate, and during 5 mo following the elimination of NPI was performed. All LTx recipients followed by and tested at our center were included. Data (multiplex respiratory viral panels; SARS-CoV-2 reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction; blood cytomegalovirus and Epstein Barr virus polymerase chain reaction; blood and bronchoalveolar lavage bacterial and fungal cultures) were collected from the medical record. Chi-square or Fisher exact tests were utilized for categorical variables. A mixed-effect model was used for continuous variables. Results. Incidence of non-COVID CARV infection was significantly lower during the MASK period than during the PRE period. No difference was noted in airway or bloodstream bacterial or fungal infections, but cytomegalovirus bloodborne viral infections increased. Conclusions. Reductions in respiratory viral infections, but not bloodborne viral infections nor nonviral respiratory, bloodborne, or urinary infections, were observed in the setting of public health COVID-19 mitigation strategies, suggesting the effectiveness of NPI in preventing general respiratory virus transmission.

    الوصف: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), recently redefined as metabolic-dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MASLD), is liver-metabolism-associated steatohepatitis caused by nonalcoholic factors. NAFLD/MASLD is currently the most prevalent liver disease in the world, affecting one-fourth of the global population, and its prevalence increases with age. Current treatments are limited; one important reason hindering drug development is the insufficient understanding of the onset and pathogenesis of NAFLD/MASLD. C-reactive protein (CRP), a marker of inflammation, has been linked to NAFLD and aging in recent studies. As a conserved acute-phase protein, CRP is widely characterized for its host defense functions, but the link between CRP and NAFLD/MASLD remains unclear. Herein, we discuss the currently available evidence for the involvement of CRP in MASLD to identify areas where further research is needed. We hope this review can provide new insights into the development of aging-associated NAFLD biomarkers and suggest that modulation of CRP signaling is a potential therapeutic target.

    الوصف: In the optical fiber time transfer system, fiber optic time transfer is limited by the pulse signal time delay measurement precision, and cannot benefit from a higher precision of the carrier phase information. Its transfer precision compared to the frequency transfer exists in a larger gap transfer. This paper proposes a time delay measurement method based on carrier phase and pseudo-code ranging for optical time transfer. The time signal is modulated with pseudo-random code and carrier at the transmitter, and the time delay is measured at the receiver by the methods of pseudo-code ranging and carrier phase measurement. The time transfer is achieved by eliminating the transmission link delay through a two-way method. The first-order difference value of the carrier phase measurement and the pseudo-code ranging measurement are used as the observation quantities, and they are fused through a Kalman filtering method to finally obtain the high-precision time difference measurement. We validate the theory on the common-clock experimental platform over a 50 km fiber link, The time transfer stabilities of the systems are 5.2254×10−14/s and 2.146×10−16/104 s (modified Allan deviation), 3.0169×10−14/s and 1.2392×10−12/104 s (time deviation). The standard deviation of the time transfer system after fusion can reach 2.4255 ps.

    الوصف: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), can affect the entire gastrointestinal tract and mucosal layer and lead to intestinal damage and intestinal dysfunction. IBD is an inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract that significantly impacts public health development. Monoclonal antibodies and other synthetic medications are currently used to treat IBD, but they are suspected of producing serious side effects and causing a number of other problems with long-term use. Numerous in vitro and in vivo studies have shown that organic macromolecules from plants and animals have an alleviating effect on IBD-related problems, and many of them are also capable of altering enzymatic function, reducing oxidative stress, and inhibiting the production of cytokines and release of proinflammatory transcriptional factors. Thus, in this paper, the natural products with potential anti-IBD activities and their mechanism of action were reviewed, with a focus on the protective effects of natural products on intestinal barrier integrity and the regulation of tight junction protein expression and remodeling. In conclusion, the insights provided in the present review will be useful for further exploration and development of natural products for the treatment of IBD.

    الوصف: Abstract Previous studies mainly focused on the behaviours of single‐break vacuum circuit breakers (VCBs) in switching capacitor banks. The prestrike characteristics of double‐break VCBs subjected to axial magnetic fields (AMFs) and transverse magnetic fields (TMFs) in capacitive making operations, to find a proper structure of double‐break VCBs for capacitive switching are experimentally investigated here. Special attention is given to the prestrike gap, inrush current interruption, prestrike voltage, prestrike electric field strength and erosion on contact surfaces of double‐break VCBs. The results show that the 50% prestrike gap d50 and the scatter in prestrike gaps are significantly reduced by nearly 50% by the TMF double‐break VCB compared with the AMF double‐break VCB. The 50% prestrike arcing time ta50 of the TMF double‐break VCB can be reduced by 37.0% compared with the AMF double‐break VCB. The voltage distribution ratio between two vacuum interrupters (VIs) is more balanced in the TMF double‐break VCB (6:4) than in the AMF double‐break VCB (7:3) when prestrike occurs. The TMF double‐break VCB can reduce the erosion caused by inrush currents on contact surfaces compared with the AMF double‐break VCB. In switching capacitor banks, the TMF double‐break VCB is superior to the AMF double‐break VCB.

    الوصف: Liemen area is located in Late Triassic Markam-Jinchuan super-large-scale lithium polymetallic ore-forming area in western Sichuan, where many middle-scale and super-large-scale granite pegmatite-type lithium ore deposits have been found and polymetallic conditions are Favorable. Based on a 1:10000 soil geochemistry survey, the characteristics of six elements closely related to the mineralization of rare metals were analyzed, and the variation coefficient and enrichment coefficient of the elements were calculated. It is found that Li is the main ore-forming element. On this basis, the single element anomaly and 5 synthetic anomalies are delineated. Five lithium ore bodies were found in the anomaly investigation, which provided the basis for further exploration.

    الوصف: Low Impact Development (LID) is an important approach for the construction of sponge airports. There are few researches on the application of LID facilities in airports. This study mainly analyzes the application of LID facilities in airports, and analyzes the reduction rate of LID facilities on the total runoff, peak present time and peaking volume by constructing EPA Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) in the eastern work area of an airport, which is located in a coastal city in northern China. This study selected three kinds of LID facilities: green roof, bio-detention facility and permeable pavement. Then three LID scenarios were formed according to different layout ratios of facilities (30%-90%), and the effects of different scenarios under different design rainstorms are simulated and analyzed. The results show that the control effect of LID scenario is enhanced with the increase of the proportion of LID facilities. The control effect of LID scenario gradually weakened with the increase of rainfall intensity. For high-frequency rainstorm, the maximum reduction rates of total runoff and peaking volume are 30.89% and 25.58% respectively, and the peak present time delay rate is up to 28.57%. For low-frequency rainstorm, the maximum reduction rates of total runoff and peaking volume are 17.96% and 14.95% respectively, and the peak present time delay rate is up to 6.12%. The flood control effect is more obvious when the LID facilities and pipe network are combined under the condition of low-frequency heavy rain. These conclusions present the effects under different combination ratio of LID facilities. It can provide the technical reference for the design and application of LID facilities for sponge airport construction in the future. HIGHLIGHTS The principles and goals of sponge airport were explored.; LID can alleviate the problems of airport ecology, safety and environment of water.; Modeling is used to simulate control effects at different scenarios.; LID can only alleviate the runoff retention caused by small and moderate rain, with limited control effect on heavy rain.; The effect of combining LID and pipe network is best under low-frequency heavy rain.;
