الوصف: Recommender systems have become an integral part of everyday human life because of tworeasons: addressing the issue of information filtering in the world of big data which limits therecommendation engine’s capabilities, and improving user experience by helping the userswhat users want. It is very often that users are unable to find preferred results with a simplequery or are unaware that even if it exits. The same case applied here to developrecommendation systems that provide insights recommendations to the users in order toimprove users’ experience. The purpose of the project was to develop and evaluate recommender systems with variousalgorithms to evaluate the best performing recommender system technique. The evaluation foreach of the recommender system was done using various metrics, and identifying thealgorithms that perform best in three techniques of recommender systems. It was observed thatthe Hybrid recommender system performed well with Matrix factorization, KNN and cosinesimilarity algorithms. The results show that the performance of hybrid recommender system matrix is best withfactorization and KNN. Therefore, it is suggested that the recommender system for the project isHybrid recommender system with matrix factorization. With this technique other algorithms canbe aligned to improve the performance of the recommender system.

الوصف: ABSTRACT: Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) can cause chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in chickens, which has a significant negative economic impact on the global poultry sector. Respiratory flora is the guardian of respiratory health, and its disorder is closely related to respiratory immunity and respiratory diseases. As a common probiotic in the chicken respiratory tract, Lactobacillus salivarius (L. salivarius) has potential antioxidant, growth performance enhancing, and anti-immunosuppressive properties. However, the specific mechanism through which L. salivarius protects against MG infection has not yet been thoroughly examined. This study intends to investigate whether L. salivarius could reduce MG-induced tracheal inflammation by modulating the respiratory microbiota and metabolites. The results indicated that L. salivarius reduced MG colonization significantly and alleviated the anomalous morphological changes by using the MG-infection model. L. salivarius also reduced the level of Th1 cell cytokines, increased the level of Th2 cell cytokines, and ameliorated immune imbalance during MG infection. In addition, L. salivarius improved the mucosal barrier, heightened immune function, and suppressed the Janus kinase/Signal transducer, and activator of transcription (JAK/STAT) signaling pathway. Notably, MG infection changed the composition of the respiratory microbiota and metabolites, and L. salivarius therapy partially reversed the aberrant respiratory microbiota and metabolite composition. Our results highlighted that these findings demonstrated that L. salivarius played a role in MG-mediated inflammatory damage and demonstrated that L. salivarius, by altering the respiratory microbiota and metabolites, could successfully prevent MG-induced inflammatory injury in chicken trachea.

الوصف: OBJECTIVES This study aimed to find the frequency of indications for Transthoracic echocardiography and its impact on non-cardiac patient management in Peshawar, Pakistan. METHODOLOGY A cross-sectional study was conducted in Medical B Ward, Department of Internal Medicine at Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar, Pakistan, over six months from July to 31st December 2020. A non-consecutive probability sampling technique was used. The sample size was calculated using an Openepi calculator, keeping 25.9 % as the frequency of requesting heart failure as an indication of echocardiography, 6.15 % as the confidence limit, and 95 % as a confidence interval. RESULTSA total of 195 patients were included in the study. The mean age of the patients was 483 years, with 59% females and 41% males. The major indication for TTE was assessing left ventricular systolic function in 146 (75%) patients and then finding the cause of the observed arrhythmias in 15 (7.5%) patients. A major proportion (95%) of the evaluated patients had no major change in the ongoing management plan following TTE. The working diagnosis in evaluated patients was changed by 12.7%, whereas new management plans were devised in only 4.9% of the cases. CONCLUSION Designing a randomized study to fully elaborate on the utility of TTE in patients admitted to acute medical wards while trying to address all confounding variables is an extremely difficult task.

الوصف: Providing the world’s population with sufficient and nutritious food through sustainable food systems is a major challenge of the twenty-first century. Fertilizer use is a major driver of crop yield, but a comprehensive synthesis of the effect of fertilizer on the nutritional quality of food crops is lacking. Here we performed a comprehensive global meta-analysis using 7859 data pairs from 551 field experiment-based articles published between 1972 and 2022, assessing the contribution of fertilization with a wide set of plant nutrients to the nutritional quality of food crops (i.e., fruits, vegetables, cereals, pulses/oil crops, and sugar crops). On average, fertilizer application improved crop yield by 30.9% (CI: 28.2–33.7%) and nutritional quality (referring to all nutritionally relevant components assessed; carbohydrates, proteins, oil, vitamin C, representative mineral nutrients, and total soluble solids) by 11.9% (CI: 10.7–12.1%). The improvements were largely nutrient- and crop species dependent, with vegetables being the most responsive. Potassium, magnesium, and micronutrients played important roles in promoting crop nutritional quality, whereas the combined application of inorganic and organic source(s) had the greatest impact on quality. Desirable climatic conditions and soil properties (i.e., silt loam, soil organic matter 2.5–5.0%, and pH 4.5–8.5) supported further enhancements. Considering cross-continent responsiveness, the increase in the nutritional quality of food crops with fertilizer application was greatest in Africa. In a nutshell, our findings pave the way towards a quantitative understanding of nutrient management programs and responsible plant nutrition solutions that foster the sustainable production of nutritious and healthy food crops for human consumption.

الوصف: Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus is a predatory gram-negative delta-proteobacteria that preys on other gram-negative bacterial species. With the surge in the cases of Anti-Microbial Resistance and the demand to replace conventional antibiotics, this predatory attribute of B. bacteriovorus has led to a vast number of studies in the last decade alone. These studies demonstrated various aspects of predation and proposed using B. bacteriovorus as an alternative new approach to conventional antibiotics in humans. Here we review the current progress made in this promising new area of research to develop novel antibacterial approaches.

الوصف: In this paper we study the notion of Gerghaty type contractive mapping via simulation function along with $\mathcal{C}$-class functions and prove the existence of several fixed point results in ordinary and partially ordered metric spaces. An example is given to show the validity of our results given herein. Moreover, existence of solution of two-point boundary value second order nonlinear differential equation is obtain.
