The article presents a study which examined contemporary rates of clopidogrel use and associated factors, with a particular focus on hospital quality of myocardial infarction (MI) care, among patients with non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) discharged from U.S. hospitals between October 2009 and March 2011. Patient-level factors such as male sex, white race, cardiac risk factors, and higher troponin levels were associated with higher prescription rates. |
