The article focuses on the diagnosis of hydatid cyst disease based on the computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen. The disease is said to be caused by the echinococcus species which are rare and seen primarily in Central and South America. A patient was diagnosed with the said disease on the basis of CT image morphology and immunoblot test. |
