مستخلص: The article studies weight related attitudes and behavior in Anorexics, Recovered Anorexics and Normals. It says that there is a major and significant discrepancy between actual and desired body weights among the majority of female teenagers. Anorexia Nervosa is a phobic avoidance stance in relation to normal body weight and its biological and social consequence.Maintainence of an abnormally low weight through the mechanism of reduced energy input, especially when in the presence of plentiful food, is highly unstable and often confronts the anorexics with loss of control and intolerable weight gain.
