The article presents a case study of a 36 year old man with a history of drug abuse which involved several drugs, that presented to physicians at the emergency department of a hospital with symptoms of confusion and disorientation. A discussion of diagnostic tests which were conducted on the man and revealed non-convulsive status epilepticus, and of his successful treatment with diazepam and phenytoin, is presented. |
