مستخلص: The article discusses the components and procedures required for the development of a new research-based child welfare Employee Selection Protocol in the U.S. It has been noted that such protocol represents a model that can be used by child welfare agencies to better select employees with the required entry-level knowledge, skills, abilities, and values that are considered essential for an effective job performance. It has been stressed that among the long-term goals of developing and implementing the new protocol is the improvement of the validity, reliability, and job relatedness of the current child welfare employee selection and hiring processes.
