مستخلص: The article presents a study concerning the clinical benefits of surgical management for cervical radiculopathy and myelopathy. It states that radiculopathy and myelopathy result from spondylotic degeneration of the cervical spine which is associated to ageing. It highlights the evidence of uncertainty in the Cochrane review of the randomised controlled trial which revealed great reduction in pain with surgical management than physiotherapy but one year after, the differences were insignificant. It recommends that further study should be conducted for more evidence about the long-term effectiveness of surgery.
