In the following article, the author introduces psychobiology of aggression and defense. The papers contained in this special issue of Aggressive Behavior are based on presentations delivered during three of the symposia held in Siena, Italy. The problems of aggression and aggressiveness demand inquiry at many different levels and these are clearly evident in the diverse nature of contemporary research efforts. The author hopes that this special issue will further enhance research collaborations on the topics of aggression and defense between scientists from different parent disciplines. |
