مستخلص: The article describes the first case of Neisseria cinerea related to pulmonary cavitation to occur in a 58-year-old renal transplant patient. The patient underwent a routine chest radiography which revealed the presence of de novo cavitation located in the upper lobe of the right lung. Following his treatment with amoxycillin for three weeks, the fever disappeared and C-reactive protein returned to normal range several days later. It mentions the main infectious causes of lung cavitation in transplant patients like tuberculosis and nocardiosis.
