The aim of this work is to reconstruct the connections between the reflections on education and the State conducted both by Piero Gobetti and in the journals directed by him and the elaboration on these themes carried out by the constituents. It is obviously difficult to attribute a direct influence of Gobetti's thought on the drafting of the Republican Constitution. Therefore, these pages do not discuss the contribution of a hypothetical 'constituent Gobetti', but the ability of this young intellectual to raise issues of constitutional importance even on a subject as little investigated in his production as school. An extensive critical literature considers Piero Gobetti one of the most representative thinkers of the best aspirations of Italian constitutional democracy. It may therefore be useful to reconstruct coherences, but also dissonances, between his thought and that of his journals collaborators, with that ideal plot on which the legitimation of the Republican Constitution is based, going beyond its mere legal validity. Lo scopo di questo lavoro è ricostruire le connessioni tra le riflessioni sulla scuola e sullo Stato condotte sia da Piero Gobetti, sia nelle riviste da lui dirette e l'elaborazione su questi temi compiuta in sede costituente. È ovviamente difficile attribuire un'influenza diretta del pensiero di Gobetti sulla stesura della Costituzione repubblicana. Perciò in queste pagine non si discute del contributo di un ipotetico 'Gobetti costituente', ma della capacità del giovane intellettuale torinese di sollevare questioni di rilievo costituzionale anche su un argomento così poco indagato nella sua produzione come la scuola. Piero Gobetti è considerato da un'ampia letteratura critica uno dei pensatori più rappresentativi delle migliori aspirazioni della nostra democrazia costituzionale. Può essere pertanto utile ricostruire coerenze, ma anche dissonanze, tra il suo pensiero e quello dei collaboratori delle sue riviste con quella trama ideale su cui si fonda la legittimazione della Costituzione, andando oltre la sua mera validità giuridica.
