The article focuses on the evaluation of risks and benefits in coronary revascularisation in Great Britain. It is stated that the results of Clinical Outcomes Utilizing Percutaneous Revascularization and Aggressive Guideline-Driven Drug Evaluation is not sufficient to change the paradigm of reducing the ischaemic burden in subsets of patients. The authors elaborate that the risk models should be redefined and measure the potential prognostic benefits of both revascularisation strategies. |
