مستخلص: The article describes the case of a 60-year-old patient presented with bone marrow 18-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake. The patient was a former smoker and was further examined after a history of malaise, weight loss and abnormal chest radiograph. Increased FDG uptake in the bone marrow was caused by high metabolic activity secondary to a systemic inflammatory response (SIRS) in the bone marrow.
