The article presents a study which examines the impact of antiretroviral therapy (ART) interruption on lipids and lipoprotein particles among HIV-infected persons. Using the nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, researchers compare the lipids and lipoproteins between randomized groups. Results show that treatment interruption has a significant effect on the total high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol ratio and does not affect the overall lipid profile. |
