The article focuses on safety measures on water supply systems in the U.S. Water treatment technology cannot assure virtual possibility in removing synthetic pollutants in water system. Public pressure is rising for the solutions in regard to chemical pollution of drinking water supplies. In this regard, the author proposes ways to solve the problem including the engineering approach, would involve widespread use of dual water supply systems, the potable water and the recycled wastewater, and the other approach which calls for regionalization and integration of water supply and pollution control authorities. |
