| الوصف: | A formação das crianças e dos jovens deve contribuir para que estes sejam cidadãos responsáveis pelos seus atos, e mais críticos e exigentes, para que promovam futuramente o bem-estar da sociedade. O Ensino de Ciências, bem como a Educação Ambiental (EA), são importantes formas de se atingir estes objetivos, e um dos meios de promover o Ensino de Ciências e trabalhar com EA é a aplicação do Ensino por Projetos, através do qual o professor utiliza uma abordagem de discussão coletiva crítica e reflexiva, permitindo que os alunos convivam com a diversidade de opiniões, tornando a aprendizagem mais significativa. O projeto apresentado no presente estudo se caracterizou como uma atividade de extensão universitária, que objetivou promover a construção do conhecimento científico sobre o mundo das formigas, bem como introduzir conceitos de preservação ambiental para crianças do 1º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Diante da relevância creditada ao Ensino por Projetos, o presente estudo tem por finalidade difundir essa crescente prática pedagógica, estimulando e subsidiando outras iniciativas afins. ; The training of children and young people should help to make them responsible for their actions, and more critical and demanding, so that they promote the well-being of society in the future. Science Education, as well as Environmental Education (EA), are important ways to achieve these goals, and one of the means of promoting science teaching and working with EA is the implementation of Teaching by Project, whereby the teacher uses a critical and reflective collective discussion approach, allowing students to engage with diversity of opinion, making learning more meaningful.
