This article from the Oxford Medical Case Reports discusses a case of a 75-year-old female patient with left vocal cord paralysis (VCP) and pleuroparenchymal fibroelastosis (PPFE). The patient presented with symptoms such as voice hoarseness, exertional dyspnea, breathlessness, weight loss, and chest flattening. Diagnostic tests revealed bilateral upper-lobe dominant pleural thickening with subpleural fibrosis, consistent with PPFE. The patient was diagnosed with idiopathic PPFE accompanying left VCP.
