مستخلص: The article examines how indigenous students have shown a lack of academic achievement and enthusiasm for schooling in its conventional form. The author cites a study by J. Sprague, C. Vincent, T. Tobin, and M. Pavel which found that Native students have the highest dropout rates and experience disproportionate school disciplinary exclusion. The author stresses that there are two contrasting systems for governing human societies which are cultures of respect and cultures of dominance.
