مستخلص: The article investigates a 6-year prevalence of multiple drug resistant (MDR) bacterial carriage and the epidemiology of related healthcare-acquired infections (HCAI) in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) of Robert-Debre University Hospital. Findings showed that despite steady increase in MDR bacteria carriers, HCAIs due to carried MDR bacteria were rare in the PICU. Findings suggest that incorporating routine screening results may decrease HCAIs.
