The article offers information on the restoration of several tombs at necropolis of South Asasif in Western Thebes, Egypt. It offers an overview on the causes of the lost of several ancient Theban personalities tombs including Karabasken (TT 391), Karakhamun (TT 223) and Irtieru (TT 390) in the 20th century. It mentions the contributions of South Asasif Conservation project in collaboration of Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiques (SCA) on the restorations of the tombs. It highlights that the tombs are example of the decorated tombs in the ancient Thebes. |
