The authors share insight on the art and science of choosing treatment strategies for rheumatoid arthritis, with reference to a research which analyzed the cost effectiveness of biologic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (bDMARD) and triple conventional DMARD (cDMARD) therapy. They argue on the researchers' reliance on the dose-response relationship between health status score and utility score, as well as the lack of consistency between the trial design and reporting of cost-effectiveness. |
