مستخلص: The article focuses on a study about racial disparity in preterm birth in the United States. The relationship between race and preterm birth is an ideal question for an observational study. A number of medical and socioeconomic risk factors were related to preterm birth. American women had more than twice the risk for preterm delivery and more than four times the risk for recurrent preterm birth when compared with white women. Women tended to deliver subsequent preterm infants during the same gestational week.
