The article focuses on a study which investigated if stroke volume variations obtained using pressure recording analytic method can predict fluid responsiveness in mechanically ventilated patients with circulatory failure. The study found that stroke volume variations obtained using a pressure recording analytic method cannot be use to predict fluid responsiveness in intensive care unit patients under mechanical ventilation. |
