مستخلص: This letter discusses a study conducted in Korea that explores the association between C-reactive protein (CRP) levels and depressive mood in Korean adolescents. The study used data from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys and included 1784 adolescents aged 12 to 18 years. The results showed that girls with experience of depressive mood had significantly higher CRP levels compared to boys. This study provides evidence that there is a significant association between serum CRP levels and depressive mood in Korean girls, suggesting that inflammation may contribute to adolescent depression in girls. However, the study has limitations and further research is needed to confirm these findings. [Extracted from the article]
