This article describes the diagnosis and treatment of a patient with lumbar discitis and osteomyelitis caused by Bacillus Calmette-Guerin instillation therapy for treatment of superficial bladder cancer. Treatment of this rare condition consists of antituberculosis microbial therapy and one or more IV antibiotics to cover multidrug-resistant bacteria in the bone.
