مستخلص: The article focuses on a study which compared the safety of two unfractionated heparin regimens during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndromes. The study included 2,026 patients undergoing PCI and 3,235 high-risk patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndromes initially treated with fondaparinux. Participants were given either low-dose or standard dose unfractionated heparin. Study authors concluded that low-dose unfractionated heparin did not reduce major peri-PCI bleeding and vascular access-site complications.
