The authors reflect on the prognostic value of Bleeding Academic Research Consortium's (BARC) bleeding definition with reference to a study performed on patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). According to them, the definition from BARC avoids qualitative terms and divided into different categories from zero through five. The authors further informs that type one bleeding consider patient's perspective on bleeding events while type two consider mortality. |
