The article looks into the report on the first total synthesis of tubulysin D through the development and application of tert-butanesulfinamide methods. Tubulysins are myxobacterial culture broths that are anticancer agents with powerful cell growth inhibitory activity. Tubulysin D can be cut into amino acid fragments: methyl pipecolic acid, isoleucine, tubuvaline and tubuphenylalanine. The total synthesis contains the essential N,O-acetal and allows production on stereoisomers. |
