الملخص (بالإنجليزية): Good conformation and structure of feet and hooves is one of the essential conditions for breeding sows. In this study, sixteen gilts of Landrace after the on-farm testing were selected for the evaluation of feet and hooves. The total score was 100 points. Fore legs accounted for 40 points and hind legs accounted for 60 point. After evaluated, the sows were allocated to crate (C) or un-crate (P) group. Sows were moved to farrowing crate (C) or adjustable farrowing crate (P) for parturition and then nursing for 4 weeks. Results showed that the overall score of feet and hooves was 90.7 ± 1.4. Six hours observation from one hour prior to feeding to five hours after feeding showed that activity in terms of standing accounted for more than 50%. The walking speed of C and P sows moved to the farrowing house was 35.4 and 35.9 m/min, respectively. The walking speed of P group (40.6 m/min) was faster than C group (37.4 m/min) (P < 0.05) when sows moved back to the pregnant house after weaning. The survival rate of suckling piglets from the second week of age to the weaning was 97%. In summary, the feet and hooves conformation of Landrace gilts were good for breeding basis and reproduction purpose. Sows raised in un-crate pen had higher activity which might be beneficial to management. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Chinese): 腳蹄結構良好的新女豬為建立優良種畜群的必要條件之一。本研究以16 頭場內選留為 種豬之藍瑞斯新女豬為對象, 評定豬隻腳蹄分數, 總分為100 分, 前肢佔40%, 後肢佔 60%。母豬腳蹄分數評定後, 平均分至於傳統狹欄待配舍(對照組, C)及非狹欄待配 舍(處理組, P)飼養, 後續移往傳統分娩狹欄(C)及調整式分娩欄(P)分娩並哺乳 4 週。腳蹄結構評分結果平均為90.7 ± 1.4。懷孕母豬於餵飼前1 小時至餵飼後5 小時共 6 小時之觀察中, 兩組母豬活動時間均達50%以上。待產母豬移往分娩舍時, C 組及P 組母豬每分鐘分別行走35.4 及35.9 公尺, 但母豬離乳後由分娩舍移回待配舍的行走速 度, P 組母豬每分鐘行走40.6 公尺, 顯著快於C 組之37.4 公尺(P < 0.05)。兩組仔豬 二至四週齡離乳存活率達97%。試驗顯示試驗藍瑞斯新女豬腳蹄結構良好, 可作為種豬 群之基礎及後續繁殖之用。飼養於較大欄位之處理組母豬離乳移動時有較佳之活動力, 有利於現場操作.
