مستخلص: A recent update at the American Academy of Dermatology suggests that vaccine-derived rubella virus is a more common cause of persistent cutaneous granulomas than previously thought. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recognized this phenomenon in pediatric patients with inborn errors of immunity, and clinicians should consider this as a potential cause when no other infectious agents can be identified. The granulomas associated with rubella virus are comparable to those caused by other infectious agents and can affect various organs. While the association between rubella and granulomas was made 10 years ago, awareness is only now spreading, and the frequency of this condition remains uncertain. [Extracted from the article]
