مستخلص: Here we report dynamics in Sodium Dodecyl Benzene Solfonate (SDBS) micelles as studied by neutron scattering technique. Data analysis showed presence of two distinct motions; whole micellar motion or global diffusion, and segmental motion of the SDBS monomers. The global diffusion associated with the whole micelle is found to be Fickian in nature. The internal dynamics of SDBS molecules within a micelle has been described with localised translational diffusion model, which is a manifestation of the flexibility involved in the chain. The hydrogen atoms move within a spherical volume; sizes of which go up linearly from head towards tail. Diffusivity also follows the same architecture. It is also found that the chains undergo fractional dynamics, the proportion of which increases with increase in temperature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
