The article features the works of Sergie Rachmaninoff who was one of the great pianist of the 20th century in the U.S. In April 1919, Rachmaninoff recorded his solo piano works for Thomas Alva Edison Inc. in Edison's New York recording studio. In 1925, he again recorded his solo works and other orchestral works that had been released on acoustic recording through electronic recording techniques. His last recording session was in 1942 at Radio Corporation of America's Hollywood studio. |
