مستخلص: A biography of Charles Drew, father of the blood bank, is presented. He was born on June 3, 1904 in Washington, D. C. and studied at Amherst College in Massachusetts. After graduation, he moved to Canada and studied medicine. In 1933, he moved to New York to work on his blood bank idea. After the war, Drew spent the rest of his life teaching new doctors and working on the blood bank program. He died in a car accident in 1950.
