Renal angiomyolipoma (AML) is a benign tumor, they are generally asymptomatic or can manifested by abdominal pain, palpable mass or hematuria. We report an uncommun case of 65 years old women who consulted for retroperitoneal hemorrhage by spontaneous rupture of renal AML with palpable mass. The ultrasound and CT abdominopelvic scan were performed in the preoperative diagnosis and showed a typical right renal AML with retroperitoneal hematoma. The right nephretomy by transperitoneal approach was performed with a good follo up. The histological examination confirmed the diagnosis for renal AML. About this case, the authors discuses the diagnosis and the managment for AML with retroperitoneal hemorrhage. [Copyright &y& Elsevier] |

L'angiomyolipome (AML) re´nal est une tumeur be´nigne, ge´ne´ralement asymptomatique qui peut se manifester par une douleur abdominale, une masse palpable ou une he´maturie. Nous rapportons un cas inhabituel d'une patiente aˆge´e de 65 ans, qui consulte pour une he´morragie re´trope´ritone´ale par rupture spontane´e d'un angiomyolipome re´nal. L'e´chographie et la tomodensitome´trie abdominopelvienne ont e´te´ performantes et ont permis le diagnostic pre´ope´ratoire d'AML re´nal droit complique´ d'he´matome re´trope´ritone´al. Le traitement a consiste´ en une ne´phrectomie par voie transpe´ritone´ale. Les suites sont simples. L'examen histologique a confirme´ le diagnostic d'AML re´nal. A` travers ce cas, les auteurs discutent le diagnostic et le traitement d'AML re´nal complique´ d'he´morragie re´trope´ritone´ale. [Copyright 2002 Elsevier] |
