In this paper an equivalent circuit for small solid‐rotor induction motors is developed in which the effect of the time harmonics of the supply are taken into consideration when the supply is non‐sinusoidal. This circuit can be used to obtain directly the characteristics of the motor, such as torque speed, current speed etc., when the motor is fed from a non‐sinusoidal supply, in the same way as the characteristics of the cage motor are obtained. |
