| الوصف: | International audience ; Anthropology facing the Syrian conflict: putting society at the heart of analysis. The war in Syria has caused more than 250 000 people, millions of displaced people and refugees and devastated hundreds of towns. This unprecedented crisis led to the physical destruction of Syria and its territorial fragmentation but also the disruption of the society and what makes society generally. Anthropology is directly challenged by this humanly dramatic * ; La guerre en Syrie a déjà fait plus de 250 000 morts, des millions de déplacés et de réfugiés et a ravagé des centaines d'agglomérations. Cette crise sans précédant aboutit ainsi à la destruction matérielle de la Syrie et à sa fragmentation territoriale, mais aussi au bouleversement de sa société et de ce qui fait ordinairement société. L'anthropologie se trouve directement interpellée par cette situation humainement dramatique : comment appréhender la transformation radicale des conditions quotidiennes d'existence et de fonctionnement de la société syrienne ? Comment continuer à faire l'anthropologie de la Syrie alors que cette discipline s'appuie prioritairement sur une présence de longue durée sur le terrain ? Quelle place l'anthropologie peut‑elle encore occuper dans un contexte de prolifération des discours « experts » dans les médias ? Questions méthodologiques et éthiques auxquelles cet article tente de répondre en proposant de s'appuyer sur une approche à la fois empirique, décentrée et à distance du conflit syrien tout en réaffirmant l'urgence de replacer la société syrienne au coeur de l'analyse. |
