الوصف: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are rare neoplasms that originate from nervous and endocrine tissue. Many NETs, especially those arising in the gastrointestinal tract, have high concentrations of somatostatin receptors. Ga68-DOTATATE PET, a somatostatin receptor imaging modality, has thus become a popular method of detecting NETs. Given the recency of this imaging technique, little research has been published to assess its efficacy in detecting gastric and duodenal NETs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the avidity of gastric NETs to duodenal NETs.
