The article presents the case of a child born with amniotic band syndrome who also suffered an unusual thoratic lesion not previously described in literature. The authors believe this lesion can provide further insight into the aetiology of this condition. The mother suffered from a unicornuate uterus, unilateral renal agenesis and hyperemesis gravidarum and gave premature birth. The hypothesis is that the child's condition was caused by an amniotic rupture early in pregnancy. |
