الملخص (بالإنجليزية): It aims to identify and analyze how the economical, political, psychological and sociological dimensions of quality of working life - QWL (WESTLEY, 1979) were perceived by employees from different organizational levels (strategic, tactic and operational) in an industry. It was based at organizational behavior area to investigate the presence or not of perceptive differences about QWL among three organizational subgroups. It was realized a quantitative and descriptive survey (BABIE, 2001). The results signalize that QWL was perceived differently among hierarchal levels. As it occurs in organizational culture and organizational climate studies, the data reveals the existence of subQWL at the intraorganizational plan. Consequently, the discussion and analysis of QWL at organizational context couldn´t be thinking at only one way by the integration logical. At this context, it is necessary to include the logical differentiation and fragmentation because different organizational subgroups have perceptive differences about QWL. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Portuguese): Objetivou-se identificar e analisar como as dimensões econômica, política, psicológica e sociológica de qualidade de vida no trabalho – QVT (WESTLEY, 1979) são percebidas pelos colaboradores de diferentes níveis hierárquicos (estratégico, tático e operacional) em uma indústria. Fundamentou-se na área do comportamento organizacional para investigar a presença ou não de diferenças perceptivas entre três subgrupos organizacionais sobre a QVT. Realizou-se um survey descritivoquantitativo (BABIE, 2001). Os resultados evidenciam que a QVT é percebida diferentemente entre os níveis hierárquicos. Semelhante ao que ocorre com os estudos de cultura e clima organizacional, os dados indicam a existência de subQVT no plano intraorganizacional. Como consequência, a discussão e análise da QVT no contexto organizacional não pode ser pensada apenas de forma única e pela lógica da integração, mas também pela lógica da diferenciação e da fragmentação, em que diferentes subgrupos organizacionais percebem a QVT distintamente.
