    الوصف: Purpose: The differences in immune indicators and prognosis between IgG4-positive and negative lacrimal gland benign lymphoepithelial lesion (LGBLEL) were analyzed.Methods: This was a single-center retrospective clinical study. Clinical data of 146 patients with LGBLEL were collected from June 2011 to June 2019. Results: The age, preoperative glucocorticoid history, and serum C3, C4, IgG, IgG2, IgG4 had statistical difference between the IgG4-positive and negative groups (PP=0.021 and P=0.013). The 5-year recurrence-free cumulative percentages of IgG4-positive group was 81.85%, and 83.46% in the IgG-negative group, which had no statistical difference (P=0.216). The history of preoperative glucocorticoid therapy, serum C4, IgG1 and IgG2 were the factors affecting IgG4-positive LGBLEL’ recurrence, while the history of preoperative glucocorticoid therapy, serum C4, and IgG1 were the factors affecting LGBLEL’ recurrence (PConclusion: Serum C3, C4, IgG, IgG2, IgG4 had statistical difference between the IgG4-positive and negative LGBLEL. The history of preoperative glucocorticoid therapy, serum C4 and IgG1 were the factors affecting LGBLEL’ recurrence, while the expression level of IgG4 was not the factor affecting LGBLEL’ recurrence.

T his paper analyzed the role of the FcepsilonRI (FcεRI) signaling pathway in the pathogenesis of LGBLEL.Methods: Transcriptome sequencing and proteome sequencing were performed on LGBLEL and orbital CH diag nosed by histopathology in Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University, between July 2010 and October 2013. Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis were used to jointly analyze the differentially expressed ge nes and proteins related to FcεRI signaling pathway. Four LGBLEL and three orbital CH diagnosed by histopathology in Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University, between October 2018 and August 2019 were randomly selected as the experimental group and the control group, respectively. RT PCR, immunohistochemical staining, and western blotting were used to verify the genes and proteins related to the FcεRI signaling pathway.Results: Combined transcriptome and proteome analysis showed that the FcεRI signaling pathway was up regulated in LGBLEL (P=0.0040), and that the important proteins such as SYK, p38, JNK, PI3K, and ERK were highly expressed in LGBLEL tissues.     الوصف: Objective: The complement system plays an important role in chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases. On the basis of previous studies, this paper further analyzed the role of the complement system classical pathway and alternative pathway in the pathogenesis of lacrimal gland benign lymphoepithelial lesions (LGBLEL).Methods: Six cases of LGBLEL and six cases of orbital cavernous hemangioma (CH), diagnosed by histopathology in Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University, between July 2010 and October 2013 were randomly selected for proteomic analysis. Gene ontology (GO) functional enrichment analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis were used to analyze the signaling pathways of differentially expressed genes and proteins. Four LGBLEL and three orbital CH cases, diagnosed by histopathology in Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University, between October 2018 and August 2019, were randomly selected as the experimental group and the control group, respectively. RT-PCR, immunohistochemical staining and western blotting were used to verify the genes and proteins related to the complement system signaling pathway.Results: The expression of complement system signaling pathway in LGBLEL tissue was significantly different (PConclusion: Both the classical and alternative pathways of complement system are involved in the pathogenesis of LGBLEL.

    الوصف: Aim: To measure the pulpal blood flow (PBF) of the upper incisors using the laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) and to calculate the endodontic vitality clinical reference range using PBF as an indicator in the healthy children. To clarify the factors that might interfere the detection and interpretation of the results. Methods: Seven to twelve-year-old school-age children were recruited randomly. The basic characteristics of the subjects are described in terms of age and gender. The mean, standard deviation, and reference range of the subjects’ PBF values are described based on their age, sex, and tooth position. Multi-factor analysis of variance was implemented, mainly including age, gender, and tooth position. Results: 1) The clinical reference range of the anterior teeth PBF in children of different ages was preliminary defined that was approximately among the range of 7-14. 2). A statistically significant correlation between PBF and age in school-aged children (P < 0.05) was detected and no statistical significance between genders (P > 0.05) was detected. The PBF detection value of lateral incisors was higher than that of central incisors, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The determination of the range of clinical reference of anterior teeth PBF in children by LDF could provide a good theoretical basis and reference basis for further promotion of its application.

    الوصف: Background To investigate the effects of Er:YAG laser pre-treatment on the dentin structure and shear bond strength of primary teeth. Methods Dentin specimens were prepared using freshly extracted intact primary molars and divided randomly into four groups based on the surface treatment applied. The control and etchant groups received no treatment and conventional acid etching treatment, respectively, while the energy and frequency groups received laser surface treatment with variable energy (50–300 mJ) and frequency (5–30 Hz) parameters. The morphology was observed using scanning electron microscopy. The surface-treated dentin slices were bonded to resin tablets, followed by thermocycle treatment. The shear strength was determined using a universal testing machine and de-bonded surfaces were observed using a stereomicroscope. Results SEM observation showed that the surface morphology of the dentin slices changed after etching as well as after Er:YAG laser pre-treatment with different energy and frequency values. The dentin tubules opened within a specific energy (50–200 mJ) and frequency (5–20 Hz) range. Beyond this range, the intertubular dentin showed cracks and structural disintegration. Shear strength tests showed no significant changes after acid etching. The shear strength increased significantly (P P > 0.05). The most common mode of interface failure was adhesive (interface) failure, followed by mixed and resin cohesive failure. Conclusions Pre-treatment using Er:YAG laser opens the dentinal tubules without the formation of a smear layer and improves the bonding strength between the primary teeth dentin and the resin composites.

    الوصف: Background Oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF) has been gained more and more attention in the treatment of degenerative lumbar disease. The goal of this study was to evaluate the effect of indirect decompression in lumbar spinal stenosis with stand-alone OLIF. Methods Sixty-three patients with lumbar spinal stenosis who underwent stand-alone OLIF between July 2017 and May 2018 our department were included. Clinical outcomes including visual analogue scale (VAS) and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) were recorded. Radiographic outcomes comprising of disc height (DH), foraminal height (FH) and lumbar lordosis (LL) were measured. Intraoperative data and complications were collected. All the data were compared preoperatively and postoperatively. Results Eighty-two segments were fused in sixty-three patients using stand-alone OLIF. The average follow-up time was 21.9±3.5 months (range from 16 to 28 months). The DH increased from 0.9±0.3 cm preoperatively to 1.3±0.2 cm postoperatively, and the final follow-up was 1.1±0.2 cm (P < 0.01). The FH increased from 1.7±0.3 cm before surgery to 2.3±0.3 cm after surgery, but decreased to 2.1±0.3 cm at final follow-up (P < 0.01).     الوصف: Background Peripheral perfusion index (PPI) is associated with hypoperfusion in critical patients. Many researches focus on using PPI as a predictor in septic shock, but few studies report on its significance in surgical patients. We performed this study to find out association between PPI and surgical patients’ prognoses. Methods It’s a retrospective study from January to June 2019, on surgical patients transferred to ICU, Xinyang Central hospital, Henan province, China. The inclusive/exclusive criteria are followings, inclusive:1) age ≥18 years old; 2) surgical length ≥120min; Exclusive: 1) died in ICU; 2) discharging against medical advice; 3) existing diseases affecting blood flow of upper limbs, for example, vascular thrombus in arms; 4) severe liver dysfunction Patients were grouped according to their length of ICU stay (LOS ICU, >48h regarded as prolonged ICU stay, otherwise non-prolonged). Baseline characteristics (age, gender, comorbidity), surgical sites and length, SOFA and APACHE II on 1st day in ICU, LOS ICU, mean artery pressure (MAP), lactate clearance rate (LCR), peripheral perfusion index (PPI), temperature (axillary) were collected and compared between the 2 groups.     الوصف: Background The minimally invasive treatment for adult degenerative scoliosis has become more and more popular. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of stand-alone oblique lateral interbody fusion for the treatment of adult degenerative scoliosis in terms of clinical and radiological outcomes. Methods A total of 18 patients with ADS who underwent stand-alone OLIF in our hospital from July 2017 to May 2018 were enrolled in the study. Clinical evaluations were performed with visual analogue scale (VAS) and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI). Radiographic outcomes were recorded in terms of coronal Cobb angle and lumbar lordosis. Results Mean patient age was 62.4 years, 50% of patients were female. Average follow up was 18.4 months. The average operative duration was 87.4 minutes, whilst the mean estimated blood loss was 45.6 ml. Mean coronal Cobb angle corrected from preoperative 15.2° to the final follow-up 6.8° (p < 0.05); and mean lumbar lordosis improved from preoperative 30.0° to 39.4° (p < 0.05). Mean disc height increased from preoperative 0.7 cm to 1.1 cm at final follow-up (p < 0.05). Mean VAS improved from 5.5 to 2.2 (p < 0.05). The mean preoperative and the final follow-up Oswestry Disability Indices were 27.8% and 13.1% respectively (p < 0.05). Conclusions Stand-alone OLIF could be regarded as an efficient and safe option in the treatment of ADS for careful selected patients.
