| الوصف: | The nacreous walls of the sieve elements of Atrichum undulatum are composed of a loose fibrillar matrix. Histochemically, these walls have cellulose, pectins, proteins, phospholipids, and RNA as components. Ultrastructurally, the walls contain fragments of the plasmalemma and what appear to be aggregations of endoplasmic reticulum and vesicles. The unusual presence of these cytoplasmic components appears to explain the positive histochernical tests for proteins and RNA. |
