مستخلص: |
The article presents a case study of a Colombian woman who was presented with Zika virus infection during pregnancy. The patient was noted to have a history of self-limited maculopapular and nonconfluent rash for three days and was found to be positive for Zika virus infection following the administration of a reverse-transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction assay. The presence of microcephaly and brain atrophy with parenchymal calcifications were also detected using postnatal ultrasonography. |
